Back to Reality -- Job Search

When I left my job in June, I knew that I had commitments up until July 20th, so I did not really put any pressure on myself to start looking. I did send out some resumes and started thinking possibilities -- but to be totally honest, I enjoyed my first few weeks of unemployment.

But -- grins -- today is July 21st and my last paycheck is in August -- so I need to do some serious job thinking now.

The laptop conference was a good place to chat with people and I received several possibility business card contacts. I have sent out resumes and shall wait to see what comes of those. I do have a commitment with two conferences to present at from November 14 - November 23rd and hope I will still be able to do both of those.

On Monday, I also have a conference call planned to discuss some part-time work opportunites with a company I am both affliated with and respect a great deal.

I would appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers as I begin this journey in my life. I am not worried -- however, I am a bit happy-anxious to see what doors will open.

As news comes -- I promise to post it here.
